About Speak Unprompted

Speak Unprompted is a free website for practising impromptu speaking: answering a question out loud when you did not know it in advance. Typical situations are job interviews, work meetings, speaking exams, classes and speaking clubs.

How a session works

1. You get a random question from 980 curated questions in 7 modes.
2. You prepare for 0–60 seconds, optionally with an answer structure such as PREP or STAR.
3. You answer out loud against a timer while your browser records.
4. The recording is transcribed and measured: pace, filler words, long pauses, time to your main point, structure.
5. You get one recommended change and can answer the same question again to compare attempts.

What is free

• Random questions, timers and recording: unlimited.
• Transcription with rule-based feedback: up to 40 answers per day.
• AI feedback: 3 reviews per day.
• No account is needed. Your history is stored in your browser.
